This will cover my paid taxes, past transportation and storage costs. I does not even beging to pay for the boat.

Purchased this boat to rebuild. However an impending knee replacement, crossing my 72 th birthday and a flooded business and house by hurricane Floyd force me to give up my project. I have over 30k on this boat between purchase, transport, crane, stands, etc.

Boat was purchased in Charleston, SC in 2017. Boat was moored and used on weekends. In 2018, boat was moved to Georgetown, S.C. and used for 1 year there. Boat was pulled and moved to my business in Conway, S.C. to undergo rebuilding.

However in the fall of 2018 the waccamaw river flooded most of Conway and I had water 4ft up in my warehouses and showroom.  My sons house was flooded also and had to move out and rent another house. My new house under construction was flooded too.

I had planned to continue this project but with a business flooded and family without housing, I had to dedicate my next year into rebuilding our livehood and forget about the boat project.
We are finishing rebuilding our warehouses and building and hopefully my son will move into his raised house in the next 30 days.
however, I have given up on the boat project. My window of oportunity is closing and I better find someone who is willing to take over  this project.

Look for used Beneteau first 405. You wont find many and all between 50 and 65k for this year model.

This is my 4th boat refit and fully aware of the needs of the project however health trumps all plans.
My last refit was a HUNTER 37. Cherubini. See it at

wwwHunter37 .Com

or by searching on you tube.

37 cherubini hunter sailboat sold

This is a one to two year project and not for the novice or faint of heart.
You are not going sailing next week.

The Boat:
Not a marina queen. This boat is very fast and has been sailed hard and non stop. Has crossed the Atlantic 3 times. Has visited most of the Caribbean and south american coast.
This boat was built in France and sold to a German family. It cruised the Med for about 10 years and then sailed to the US. The owner secured an agent in Fort Lauderdale and paid the US import duty. The boat was sold to an English couple who kept it in the US and used it in the Caribbean for the next ten years. The name of the boat at that time was Flying Cloud.

In 2011 the boat was sold in Charleston South Carolina to a Brazilian gentleman. The boat was renamed Rosa dos Ventos. He sailed to the Azores, the cape Verde Islands, the Canary Islands and back to Brazil. The boat spent the hurricane seasons in Trinidad and Tobago. It sailed extensively the coast of Brazil, Surinam, venezuela, abc islands. Due to health reasons it was put for sale in 2015 in Trinidad.

In 2015 in French/Belgian gentleman purchase the boat in Trinidad and had it surveyed. He sailed to the US making stops in over 20 islands including Cuba. They both ended up in Charleston South Carolina this summer of 2016. At that time the owner had to fly back to Europe and put the boat up for sale on eBay.

Refit in Trinidad before departure.

Engine received a rebuilt kit 900 hours ago. Had planed to have shop rebuild for 4k complete. Also looked at new chinese perkins for 3200.00.
Mast and rigging in good shape. Furler need main bearing .
The boat is presently stripped down to the fiberglass.
All woodwork is out of it.  All ceiling panels were removed as the vinyl was loose. All ceiling panels were epoxied to make them waterproof and recovered with sailrite vinyl. New led lights installed. Have enough vinyl to cover all ceilings and walls as needed.
New polycarbonate on hand for portholes and also new poly for all hatches just received.
All new through hulls on hand, new scanvik sink and faucet for forward cabin on hand.
Purchased 8 new galvanized boat stands @ 1,800.00 . They will go with the boat. You will need them if you are going to work on it.

All the parts for the boat are included. Should go back together fine. Had planned new water lines and new electrical panel. Only item not on boat at purchase time was 1 salon setee cushion. Will need new floor sole. Old one included for patern.

This is a major project. You finish it. Not for dreamers. Please, only consider it if you have the means and knowledge to see it through. Must also have a permission letter from the wife. Lol.
